You are welcome here.

We seek to create a just world
where ALL are included in the family of God.

Justice is sometimes a loaded word when it comes to church.

It invokes politics and partisanship. Our God calls us to do justice, seek peace, and effect change for a better world. We must be a prophetic voice louder than the voices of hate. The simple act of loving our neighbor is an act of resistance. We serve others through our food pantry, special giving, and supporting the efforts the regional and national settings of our denomination. We have a long way to go until we can proclaim that we have achieved a just world for all, however, we continue to strive for that justice each and every day.

All are welcome. And we really do mean all.

We celebrate the beauty and uniqueness of God’s diverse family and our oneness in Christ. No one is excluded based on race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical and mental abilities, socioeconomic situation, marital status, or anything else. To show our commitment to inclusion, we are an Open and Affirming congregation, a designation from our denomination which means we have covenanted to intentionally include LGBTQ people in our church family.

We are undeniably a family church.

We care for one another as a church family and also work to support each family unit who calls San Dimas Community Church their home. The Church is a family of families, and we strive to care for one another in times of joy and sadness. Our children and youth have special activities each Sunday and have the opportunity to go to summer camp at Pilgrim Pines in Yucapia.

You’re family here.

San Dimas Community Church (United Church of Christ) is a faith family with over 100 years of history at the corner of San Dimas Avenue and Third Street. We are a group of people who seek to create a just world where ALL are included in the family of God.

Join us for worship, Sundays @ 10

Sunday Worship is our time to gather as a faith family. We keep things pretty casual; come as you are. Worship is an every day practice, so for our time together, we gather with singing, praying, listening, and working together to respond to the world around us. A nursery is available for preschoolers, and K-5 kids can go to Sunday school (following Children’s Time) for a message specifically designed for them. Families are also invited to worship together.

You can pre-register your kids for the nursery or Sunday school on the Church Center app (App Store or Google Play.

Sermon archive.

Each week, Pastor Matthew, or one of our guests, brings a reflection on the texts for the week asking us how we might respond to the world around us differently from other’s expectations.
